Finally when you purchase a stove there are some additional parts you will need like register kits, liners and of course installation. The cost to fit all this is not cheap as you will require a qualified installer to certify it just as you would with a gas fire.
The positives! There are many positives but to sum it up in short, wood burning stoves are hugely efficient and a fantastic source of heat. They range from 4KW up to 18KW generally speaking so there is something for everyone. A good fitter or surveyor can advise how much heat is needed in your room but the aesthetics are completely personal. Also a good stove will have better air control meaning you regulate the heat output much better.
