Are you looking for a wood burning stove in a conservatory in Cheshire? We have some tips advice for you if you do!
Before we get to styles and designs of stoves you will need to consider two things. First of all where will the stove go and how will it be flued? In most cases the flue pipe would be fitted off the top of the stove and through the roof of the extension or conservatory. Many people like this as a feature and it will provide an additional heat to the room. If this isn’t an option or you don’t like the idea of having the flue pipe on show you can also have it flued outside. The flue pipe would exit the back of the stove, go straight through the wall and then upwards to the required height. This way you don’t have the pipe on show but trade off a small amount of additional heat.
In terms of where the stove can be fitted, anywhere generally would be ok as long as it can be flued and is not near combustible materials. The stove will need to sit on a none combustible hearth like granite or slate and if the stove is close to a wall we would recommend a back plate – again none combustible.
A typical style for a wood burning stove in a conservatory in Cheshire would be taller than a chimney stove. There is no right or wrong style but 80% of the stoves we fit into conservatories are tall, free standing cylindrical stoves like the one pictured below.
